In the Lençóis Maranhenses, the wedding happens in the light: the ceremony among dunes and lagoons, the late afternoon from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and the night with the people you love. Edy Souza has been photographing for 28 years and has guided more than 500 couples through these dunes, from Santo Amaro do Maranhão, also serving Barreirinhas and Atins. Three packages, with a fixed price per town. Wedding in the Lençóis: up to 5 hours with two photographers experienced in weddings, for the ceremony and a couple's session in the best light, with at least 600 photos. Wedding Photo & Film: up to 8 hours, from getting ready to the party, with at least 800 photos, a 4 to 8 minute wedding film, a short video for social media and 6 drone videos, all under the same direction. Wedding & Pre-Wedding in the Dunes: the whole day and, on another afternoon, a session just for the couple. All of them include individual editing of color, light and contrast on every photo, a preview of 150 photos within 72 hours, an online gallery for one year and VowLens, the digital disposable camera guests open on their phones. The schedule of each wedding is born at a planning meeting, with locations, light times and a plan for the wind, with no change to the price. Access to the dunes is with local operators, paid by the couple, and ceremonies inside the National Park depend on authorization from ICMBio, guided during planning.

Who photographs your wedding
I am Edy Souza. I have been photographing for 28 years and have accompanied more than 500 couples among the dunes and lagoons of the Lençóis. I know every dune and every lagoon, and the hour when the light crosses them: that is what I use to design the schedule of your wedding.
On the day, I do not work alone. A second photographer, experienced in weddings, follows the other side of the story, so no moment depends on a single angle. In the packages with film, the video team works under my direction, with the same language as the photos.
Getting married in the Lençóis calls for people used to wind, sand and strong sun. I recommend trusted professionals for each stage, and you hire them and agree on fees directly with each one.
For hair and makeup, Priscilla Miranda is available at an additional cost.

Questions about getting married in the Lençóis
Can we get married inside the National Park?
The dunes and lagoons lie within Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, managed by ICMBio, and ceremonies there require its authorization. During planning I guide you through the request, well in advance, and adapt the location, timing and setup to what is authorized.
Which town should we choose for the wedding?
It depends on the size of the party and the style of your trip. What changes between Santo Amaro, Barreirinhas and Atins, from access to lodging, is in the guide on where to base yourself. At the planning meeting we decide together.
When is the best time to get married in the Lençóis?
The lagoons are full from June to September, and the ceremony or the session goes into the 4:30 pm light. The month by month, with rain, wind and light, is in the best time to visit guide.
How soon do we receive the photos?
Within 72 hours of the wedding you receive a preview of 150 photos, a benefit exclusive to weddings. Your full gallery arrives within 30 business days, fully edited, and stays online for one year. If you need it sooner, express delivery has everything ready within 10 business days, for R$ 700.
What fits into the 5 hours of Wedding in the Lençóis?

What is VowLens?

Do you work with couples from outside Brazil?
Yes. On this page the reference price also appears in US dollars, and the proposal arrives in your language.
How does payment work?
Your date is reserved with a 50% deposit, and the balance can be paid in installments up to the wedding day. For payment within Brazil, paying upfront by PIX gives a 5% discount; bank transfers have no discount. Couples from outside Brazil pay by international card through a secure Stripe link, in two steps: the deposit to reserve the date and the balance by the wedding. Prices are always in Brazilian reais (BRL), and your card converts them to your currency.
Do we have to hire the partners through you?
No. I recommend people who know the dunes, and you hire whoever you like, agreeing on fees directly with each one.
