Maternity session in the Lençóis Maranhenses
The wait for your baby deserves a setting that lasts forever. I have been photographing stories on these dunes for 27 years, and the maternity session has its own pace: no rush, with breaks, in the most beautiful light of the day, between the white sand and the lagoons of Santo Amaro.
Why the Lençóis for your maternity session
There is no setting like it to tell the beginning of a story: white dunes as far as the eye can see, freshwater lagoons and a late afternoon light that embraces. And in Santo Amaro the dunes are less than 8 minutes from the village, which makes all the difference when you are pregnant: you spend your time in the scenery, not on the way there.

A session at your own pace
The session respects your moment. I guide you with simple directions, we take breaks whenever you need, and the outfits and settings adjust to what makes sense on the day. The result is light, natural photos, with no forced posing.
The best season and the best time
The lagoons are at their peak from June to September, when the water takes on its turquoise and emerald tones. The golden hour, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, is the time I reserve for sessions: the softest light of the day and the mildest temperature for an expecting mother.

The packages apply to the maternity session and start with the Essential in Santo Amaro, varying by base and duration. All of them can be paid in up to 4 interest-free card installments or with a 5% discount via PIX.

Maternity session FAQ
- What is the best time for a maternity session?
- The golden hour, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. It is the most beautiful, softest light of the day, and also the mildest temperature on the dunes, which makes the session much more comfortable for the mother.
- Is the session tiring?
- It is designed not to be. In Santo Amaro the dunes are less than 8 minutes from the village, the route is short and we take breaks whenever you need. You set the pace of every moment.
- Can I include video and drone?
- Yes. Photography is the base, and video and drone come as layers, like in the real session in this page's gallery, which had photos, video and aerial footage.
- Is there makeup and hair?
- With Priscilla, optional and booked separately, with a production designed to withstand the heat, the wind and the water of the lagoons.
- What should I wear?
- Light, flowing fabrics that dance with the dune winds work beautifully. In our planning conversation I help you choose the outfits and colors for the scenery.
- Do you do maternity and family sessions in Lençóis Maranhenses?
- Yes. The Lençóis dunes are an extraordinary backdrop for maternity sessions and family portraits. The natural light of late afternoon enhances every moment. My wife, Priscilla Miranda, joins as professional makeup artist on most sessions, making sure everyone looks their best.
